1. Services
GariBay Music Studio ("we," "us," or "our") provides professional audio mixing, mastering, and tuning services to independent artists and music creators. Services include:
- Full stem mixing
- Digital audio mastering
- Mixing and mastering bundle packages
- Vocal and instrumental tuning
- EP and album projects
- Audio restoration
The specific scope of work, deliverables, and pricing will be confirmed in writing (via email) before any project begins. Current rates are listed on the Pricing page and are subject to change.
2. Project Agreement & Payment
Projects begin with a consultation to align on scope, timeline, and pricing. A project is considered confirmed once pricing has been agreed upon in writing and any required deposit has been received.
- Pricing is confirmed before work begins, based on current rates and track/stem count
- A deposit may be required before beginning work
- Final deliverables are released upon receipt of full payment
- Accepted payment methods will be communicated at time of booking
3. File Submission & Client Responsibilities
You are responsible for providing properly prepared files and sufficient information to complete your project. This includes:
- Providing high-quality source files in agreed-upon formats (WAV, AIFF, etc.)
- Ensuring you own or have licensed all audio content submitted
- Providing reference tracks, creative direction, and any technical requirements
- Responding to feedback requests and revision rounds in a timely manner
No responsibility is taken for delays or quality issues arising from poorly prepared files, unclear direction, or unresponsive communication.
4. Revisions & Delivery
Each project includes a standard number of revision rounds, as outlined on the Pricing page or agreed upon during consultation. Additional revisions beyond the agreed scope may be subject to additional fees.
Deliverables are provided in the formats specified at the time of booking (typically high-resolution WAV and/or MP3 files). Delivery is via file transfer link (WeTransfer, Google Drive, Dropbox, or similar).
Estimated turnaround times are provided in good faith but are not guaranteed. Proactive communication will be provided if delays arise.
5. Intellectual Property
You retain full ownership of all musical content, compositions, and recordings you submit. By submitting files, you represent and warrant that you have the right to do so and to authorize processing of the audio for the purposes described.
No rights to your music are retained. Permission may be requested to reference completed work (e.g., listing your project in the portfolio), but this will not happen without your explicit consent.
Ownership of mixing, mastering, and tuning techniques, methods, and processes is retained and is not transferred with the delivery of your project files.
6. Confidentiality
All submitted audio, project details, and client information are treated as confidential. Your unreleased music or project details will not be shared, sold, or distributed to third parties without your written consent.
7. Cancellations & Refunds
If you need to cancel a project, please notify as soon as possible. The cancellation and refund policy:
- Cancellation before work begins: full refund of any deposit
- Cancellation after work has begun: deposit is non-refundable; any remaining balance is waived
- Completed deliverables accepted by the client are non-refundable
If you are unsatisfied with deliverables, please communicate your concerns before cancelling — the goal is to work with you to reach a result you're happy with, within the included revision rounds.
8. Limitation of Liability
Liability is limited to the amount paid for the specific project in question. No responsibility is taken for:
- Loss of data or files you have submitted (always retain your own backups)
- Indirect, consequential, or incidental damages of any kind
- Delays caused by circumstances outside reasonable control
- Third-party streaming platform requirements or rejection of delivered masters
You are strongly encouraged to retain your own copies of all original source files.
9. Changes to These Terms
These Terms of Service may be updated from time to time. The most current version will always be posted on this page. Continued use of these services after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
